Drifting
Sometimes, we defy the laws of gravity and we float. It's one of those things that we don't notice happen kind of like how we became the people we are today. It just kind of happens. And those times that we float not only do we not notice but others do not notice us drifting. Like a balloon that slip away from the grasp of a toddler, we don't not notice it until its too late. And sometimes when we jump for the string to bring comfort to the kid, we miss and the balloon is gone forever. None of us saw it happen, we just see it when its too late. And we do this to the people we love. For whatever reason we just do not text them as much or we don't blow up their wall on Facebook. We become like magnets to each other and repel. I guess we refuse to obey the natural rule that drifting can cause injury. We shouldn't drift on the road into other lanes, or drift off asleep when there is something important to attend to, or for us athletes drift on our jumpshots or away from the contact to get the foul. Sometimes we need to get fouled to gather our rhythm at the free throw line.
